THE BEST BRUSSELS SPROUTS!


I'm sure everyone is always trying to figure out a new way to hook up the traditional Brussels Sprouts. Seems like when the holidays roll around all of a sudden they pop up at the supermarkets and you're thinking how am I going to incorporate 'these' into the menu this year? There's only so many ways you know how to cook them. Well this recipe will actually turn this dreadful ingredient into a regular side dish at your dinner table and not just for the holiday visit.

The Glowbal Group was kind enough to share their world famous Brussels Sprouts recipe with us. Which takes out the guess work since I know everyone is always trying to figure out how they make them so forking lickin' good. 

What You Will Need:
1 lbs Brussels Sprouts
1 1/2 tbsp Capers, drained
1 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
Salt to Taste

Method:
Bring up the temperature on your deep fryer to 375 degrees.  Wash sprouts and remove any dead or browning leaves.  Quarter large sprouts and halve smaller sprouts.  Ensure the Brussels Sprouts are completely dry before putting them into the deep fryer.

Place Brussels Sprouts into deep fryer and cook for 1 minute or until golden brown.  Remove the sprouts from the deep fryer and shake to remove all excess oil.  Place into a small bowl, adding capers, lemon juice, grated Parmesan, chilli flakes and salt.  Toss together, plate and serve immediately.

(Serves 4)
