KHATSAHLANO STREET PARTY

Look past the lounging beach babes and muscle dudes walking their pit bulls on Kits beach, past the parade of luxury strollers along 4th Ave, and never-ending frat parties at Local, and you’ll see a new side of Kitsilano this weekend– a side that even the most jaded of east siders could appreciate.

This Saturday the 11th, the Khatsahlano Street Party takes over 10 blocks of 4th Ave for the 4th year in a row. Billed as Vancouver’s biggest FREE Music and Arts Festival, this year’s party will feature EIGHT stages showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical acts, an array of street performers and a marketplace showcasing Vancouver’s finest artisans. The street fair will also feature a wide variety of food options, patio drinking, giveaways, special activities, a full block of tasty food trucks, and a licensed outdoor beer gardens.

If you plan to be one of the 160,000+ attendees checking all the action between Burrard and McDonald streets, be sure to come say hi to yours truly. I’ll be taking a break from my realtor duties at Blu and will be providing the booty shaking backbeat for my talented friend Kuba Oms, 5pm on the Trafalgar Stage.
