HELLO SUMMER: THE DEBRIEF
We don’t want to take all of the credit, but after last night I think Blu can take a little for ushering in an early (and killer) summer. Yes it was warm and sunny, and yes we had plentiful brews, vino & tunes. But when you break it down, a good party really is ALL about the people. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have an amazing network of friends, clients and cohorts who love and support Blu Realty. If you are one of those people, thank-you. If you aren’t, we look forward to seducing you slowly.
Now, before you go zipping through our Facebook party album looking for hot shots of yourselves, we must take a moment for shout-outs.
Vancouver Island’s Unsworth Vineyards is a lovely boutique establishment taking the wine world by storm with their French style vinos. These good people generosity donated 4 cases of their flagship wines. And the dry, Rose and crisp Pinot Gris were enjoyed by all. In fact, some of us are still experiencing the fallout from excess “enjoyment” as they write this debrief.

Chris Berry at SynLawn is long-time Blu collaborator, and once again he and his team stepped up to help us out. Their artificial grass donation MADE our new Blu Back Forty Patio the hot spot of the night.
Veranda Designs
Plant Whisperer Edie Gyorki was given minimal time (and budget) to create what we like to call our living bench. Not only did she finish the project before our party deadline, Edie designed a work of plant art that people are still talking about.
We do our best to give back when we can, and the BC SPCA is close to our hearts for too many reasons to list. That's why we are donating the proceeds from our #HelloSummer bar sales to puppies, kitties and other lovable creatures. Special thanks to the lovely Rosemary Conder for her support and glow.
Via Tevere Pizzeria Napoletana
Who knew you could have a true Neapolitan experience out of a truck! Via Tevere's pie masters brought their world class bites to our "Back 40" patio, supplying much needed carbs to our famished partiers. Thanks Dom & Nigel of Brassneck for connecting us!
By day she sells brew, and by night she parites with Blu. Sherry Friesen has been our go-to DJ Goddess for years, and last night she once again brought our party to the next level. The Lionel Richie mash-up finale will stay with us for years to come.
We HEART The Lemon Square, and we're not afraid to say it! Tart, sweet and just a little bit sinful. Plus, every square is made with love by two of the coolest dudes on the planet.
These guys are a new find for us, and Gardey Party brought their A-game to Hello Summer. Their bouquets were just the right balance of wild and whimsical - kinda like us.
We love to support local, and Red Truck is in the process of opening up a fabulous brewery within walking distance from the Blu home base. And after sampling their tasty lager last night (Thanks Carissa!), we’re definitely looking forward to more this summer.
