Vancouver's own Gastown gets some positive media. Take an iconic building on Hastings Street, restore it, hire local people to help clean the area, add in a butcher shop, diner, sandwhich window and a tv crew and we have a new tv show and this time it's on OWN (Oprah's new network)

This new television series features Mark Brand and his wife Nico through their trials and tribulations of opening Save On Meats.  A combination of reality cooking show, mixed with a massive renovation, plus risky business venture.
