ARTIST LIVE/ WORK STUDIO PROGRAM

ATTENTTION PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS!!.......

The City of Vancouver has an awards program for artists. This program has been in place since 1995 and has helped 11 artists so far.

The Artist Live/Work Studio Awards Program is a critical part of the City’s work in cultural infrastructure development and provides a valuable service to Vancouver artists—particularly emerging professional artists—by enabling them to further their expertise and practice.

4 artist live/ work studios are up for grabs. One studio will be located at E. 4th Ave and Scotia so that could be one of 4 buildings in the area but believe this one will be in The Mecca. This studio will be yours rent free for 3 years less 2 weeks!!

The other three studios will be offered at a below market rent of $375/month also for a period of three years less two weeks. Two of these will be located at W. 8th and Cambie so this is most likely in XL Lofts (Extrordinary Lofts) and the third will most likely be in The Workshop on E. Pender near Clark Dr.

Please note these may not be the correct buildings. I'm simply making an assumption based on the cross streets given. More information of the lofts can be found here.

The deadline for all applications: OCTOBER 7, 2011, 4:30pm

Open Houses to take place Saturday, September 24, 2011 (noon - 4 pm), and Tuesday, September 27, 2011 (4 pm to 7 pm). Check out the information sheet.
