EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY

The holidays are approaching like a sparkly, crazy freight train, and with them comes (cue menacing music) the dreaded work party. Well, lucky for Blu we all genuinely dig each other.  But this year we wanted to go beyond the standard eat too much/get silly program we’ve been following since the company’s inception. This year the team purchased a 6 course charity dinner at a fundraiser for the Pacific Autism Family Centre. The centre is the passion project of philanthropists/entrepreneurs Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia and her husband Sergio. Who, like so many Canadians, have a child affected by an autism spectrum disorder. The dinner was hosted by the incredible staff at Wendy and Sergio’s new CPrime Modern Italian Steak & Wine, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Before indulging in our delicious multi-course feast, we were guided through a ravioli making session with hot-shot chef Bruce Woods, and every dish was perfectly paired by legendary restauranteur Christian Gaudreault of The Tomato fame. Yes, we ate a little too much and we got a little silly, but there’s real satisfaction in knowing your holiday gathering will make someone’s life just that little bit better.
