CANADA'S MOST EXPENSIVE CONDO

A mysterious 'Overseas Buyer' has snapped up Canada's most expensive condo for a cool $28 million.

At over 9 thousand square feet, the condo sits at the top of the Four Seasons 55 storey West tower in downtown Toronto. The asking price for the unit when it was first announced for sale in 2008 was $30 million.

It's still under-constuction, and when finished will include 12 foot ceilings, a 2500 sq ft master suite, theatre room (to watch Leafs games) with bar (to drown sorrows after watching Leafs games), wine cellar, open concept kitchen and separate quarters for the staff.

I guess that sounds alright, if you can stand the panoramic views of the Toronto skyline.

FYI - The most expensive condo ever sold in Vancouver was the penthouse unit at Three Harbour Green in Coal Harbour. The 8 thousand square foot unit sold for $22.3 million during the Olympics.

All the details of the record setting condo are HERE in the Financial Post and photo gallery HERE courtesy the Toronto Sun.
