THE LATEST ADDITIONS TO BLU HQ

Moving is a huge part in our business and (believe it or not) we love guiding Blu clients through this emotional transition. However, this past Summer it was our brokerage that was transitioning. After 6 years we decided to leave our beloved East Van location and find a new space for our team to flourish.  Lucky for us, a beautiful Beach Avenue office became available and we snatched it up without a second thought. Location, location, location – to say the least. Renovations wrapped at the end of August and now it’s time to thank our long time collaborators, Atlas Pots, for adding the finishing touches.

Atlas has been Blu’s go-to planter manufacturer/designer since they first took root back in 2006. The founders were inspired by a love of gardening and design and we were inspired by their product's contemporary lines, and customizable shapes, sizes and colours.  Atlas’ planters are very versatile, and we could rest easy knowing that the products we recommended to clients were going to stand up to Vancouver’s manic climate. Their commercial-grade fiberglass pieces are made of a long-lasting, winter-proof material that doesn’t leach and provides built-in insulation for plants. Recently, Atlas has been dabbling in artificial boxwood hedging that offers lush looking privacy – with zero maintenance. Perfect for condo living in busy Vancity.

The Atlas Team is also dedicated to giving back; contributing time and resources to Family Services, The Food Bank, the BCSPCA, Seva Canada, Aunt Leah’s and a changing roster of organizations that serve to make life better for others. Just like Blu, they believe in collaboration over competition, and the proof is in the quality of the work. Tarie brings his expert gardening knowledge to the process, and Mario and Maninder work on colour and spatial considerations. They also encourage clients to come in with their own ideas on how to fit a space, to match decor, and to accommodate all those favourite plants.

At Blu HQ, we wanted to do something contemporary, and eye catching. We also wanted to compliment the awesome Atlas Pot display our neighbour’s Vertlieb & Co have lovingly maintained for years.  We fell in love with the white (24x24) cubes, which compliment Blu’s black and white branding and brightens even the gloomiest of Fall days. And because most of our realtors are minimalists, we went with a sculpted evergreen to finish the look.  Pickles is especially pleased with our new additions and if she’s happy – we’re all happy.

Thank-you again to Altas Pots for helping make the new Blu HQ feel like home.
