20TH ANNUAL EASTSIDE CULTURE CRAWL

With the days growing shorter, the afternoons darker, and the skies ever more grey, November in Vancouver can be a pretty glum affair.  Luckily, one of our favourite events is happening this weekend should you need a little mid-month pick me up. The Eastside Culture Crawl (this year celebrating the big two-zero!) is an event that showcases the East Van creative community and the works of painters, photographers, sculptors, furniture makers, leatherworkers, printmakers, weavers, potters, jewelers, and glassblowers. With more than 70 studios opening their doors to the public, there will be ample opportunity for inspiration, wonderment, and curiosity.

Here at Blu, we have an affinity for live/work spaces and the creative crop that they attract. It’s no secret that we nurture a soft spot for the streets of East Van, and we’ll jump at the chance to take a gander ‘round one of our favorite ‘hoods. There will also be a range of food trucks on had as well as brews from Strange Fellows Brewing. Need we say more?

The Eastside Culture Crawl is happening from Thursday November 17th to Sunday November 20th. Visit www.culturecrawl.ca for a map of the studios and for more information.
