Port Moody
Port Moody is where the railway ended, for a short time and where the Pacific Ocean begins, kind of. The railway eventually made its way to Vancouver and where the Pacific Ocean begins is open to debate. In Port Moody the ocean is in the form of an inlet, Burrard Inlet, and between this close proximity to water and the North Shore Mountains, Port Moody is a very scenic place to live.
It’s growing into its own city but if you wanted to hit the big city it’s not far by either car or train. However, Port Moody has everything you could want so ideally once you are living in the area you would never have to leave.
