GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS- FUNDRAISING FOR THE LONGEST HOCKEY GAME EVER PLAYED

A group of 40 incredible women are trying to break the Guinness Book of World Records, record, for the longest hockey game ever played. In August 2011, we will play one continuous game for over 243 hours (10 days) breaking the current record (held by men) by 65 minutes. The primary focus of this event is to promote national and international awareness of Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Funds raised will go to Cystic Fibrosis Canada to support research aimed at helping people with CF, in the hopes of
achieving the ultimate goal of finding a cure. They are hoping to raise a combined total of $400,000 through their combined efforts and need all the help they can get.

There will be having a private screening of the hilarious comedy “Bridesmaids”. The screening will be held at Fifth Avenue Cinemas and if we can get 200 or more people to attend, Fifth Avenue Cinemas will donate almost $1,000 back to the charity. Beer and wine will be sold at the theatre
so I encourage everyone to take public transit to the theatre. Transportation will be provided from the theatre to the after party.

This will be an incredible night filled with great people, tons of laughs, prizes and an unforgettable night that may change the lives of people and families that suffer daily with this traumatic disease. We truly believe that with your help a cure will be found.
