EASTSIDE CULTURE CRAWL

401 artists in 76 buildings over 4 days! You will be sure to get your fill of art, design and culture at the 18th annual Eastside Culture Crawl. We look forward to this event every year for the chance to meet new artists, admire beautiful work, and maybe even bring home that perfect piece that inspires our space!

It's all happening November 20th & 21st from 5pm - 10pm and on the weekend the 22nd & 23rd from 11am - 6pm.

This event is focused on the area between Main Street and Victoria Drive, and from 1st Ave. all the way up to the Waterfront. We love this area of Vancouver for the vibrant, creative community and so many inspiring artists that live and work in this hood. The crawl features amazingly talented painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, weavers, potters, printmakers, photographers, and glassblowers Oh My!

Among these talented artists are a few good friends to Blu, including:

Christina Norberg – Drawing, Mixed Media, Painting, Sculpture

We love the surreal, nature-inspired imagery that Christina creates in her unique paintings. She illustrates these beautiful, uplifting places of wonder that we want to explore all day!

Exquisite oil paintings depicting cityscapes of Vancouver makes us fall in love with our city all over again. Leanne somehow evokes the emotion of the streets and illustrates the feelings of beauty you can only find in Vancouver.

Kristie’s imaginative use of colour in non-traditional ways are breathtaking. Her innovative techniques exploring textures and pattern really make her pieces stand out.

Mark Turner – Wood working, Sculpture

Mark is our go-to guy for anything made of wood! Most of our signage is handcrafted by this talented guy. His talents really shine through with his incredible wood sculptures. Photos don't do justice to the artistic craftsmanship and scale of his amazing work. This is a must see at #160 - 1000 Parker St.

Check out these amazing artists among so many more talented folks starting Thursday the 20th of November. The Blu Crew will be crawlin' around, and we hope to see you there too! For all of the nitty gritty details have a look at the Culture Crawl's website at www.culturecrawl.ca.
