TO STAGE, OR NOT TO STAGE?

As the old adage goes, first impressions last. From first dates to job interviews, we invest time and effort into making sure that we have our best foot forward. That’s why we spend hours primping and prettying ourselves before a date, or why we practice answers to interview questions over and over in our heads. Point is, the image that you put out there can matter, so why not invest the time and effort into making it a good one?

The same thing holds true when you’re listing a property. If you want your property to sell like hot cakes and for top dollar, then that first impression is absolutely key. Depending on your needs and budget staging can involve bringing in completely new furniture and décor, minor renovations such as fresh paint or carpets, or rearranging what’s already in your space while adding a few other small touches. Whether it’s a total re-haul or just a little bit of TLC, the aim is to showcase your home’s potential while helping buyers imagine what life in your space could be like.

Considering that you’re reading this blog post on a computer, tablet, or smartphone, it’s safe to say that you already know that we live in an era where digital reigns supreme. Most buyers start their search online, so how your home photographs is just as important as how it looks in real life. Attractive photos will spark people’s interest and draw them to your Open Houses, and in both the digital and real-life worlds staging can play a huge role in making your home look as appealing as possible.

We’ve had the good folks at Flow Home Staging help us out with a few of out recent listings, and the praises that we sing couldn’t be higher. All of these properties sold after just one weekend of Open Houses and for over asking, which are things that make the Blu Crew and clients happy indeed. Keep in mind; you don’t necessarily need the help of a professional stager if you have time to spare and an eye for design. Take a look and see for yourself!
